Bemidji Outting

Just thought I'd post these pictures of three bald eagles Kim and I saw on our way to Bemidji the other day. There were two of them in trees on the opposite side of the road and then one was down on the ground on our side of the road. I made Kim pull over so I could get out and try to get a good picture of the one down on the ground, I will not lie though, I was very nervous about the bird coming after me! However, it did the opposite and flew away, so Kim backed up and we tried to get a couple good pictures of them in the trees!

Love ya!
Kendall

Kendall and Kim,
Mark and I are impressed!!! We've been keeping an eye (?) out for eagles in our area, mainly Pekin, but Mark had to be in the quad cities for meetings a couple weeks ago and said there were gobs of them around the river up there. We're thinking about taking a day trip up there to see them but haven't made it up there yet. I'm wondering if you see them often in your area or if this was a one-time thing?
Love you, Mom

I see a few eagles every now and then. I think that they are a bird that even if I saw them everyday, I would still be amazed and have to stop and watch them. They are so interesting to watch and their eyes just stare you down! This was a neat encounter. The one on the road was nibbling on a deer and you could tell it didn't want to leave it's dinner! He made a few swoops by the car before he landed in the tree!

NOTE: Kelly's blog has one of those same comments also! I think I can delete it if I log onto the blog. I'll give it a try.

I had the great experience of seeing an eagle last week on my way to work. I was on the pekin bridge and it was sitting in a tree very close to the bridge, it was the closest i've ever got to one. As i drove down the bridge a coyote ran out in front of me. Needless to say, i had to call the great hunter randy and tell him my wildlife encounters!

Who is writing bad stuff on the blogs that can't be seen?

I saw one yesterday when I took leah for a walk. We saw it near the river by our house. They really are neat.

I've never seen an eagle, but then again, I rarely see a Gail post a comment anymore, and I saw that today...so, maybe I will see an eagle soon too.
