Happy Easter (A day early)!!!!

The girls spent Friday night with us and today we spent pretty much the whole day (well, til mid-afternoon) making an Easter Rabbit cake and cheesecake mini Easter baskets. Now I remember why I didn't do this when my girls were little!!! And it wasn't because of them, it was because of my non-artistic abilities and lack of patience in putting things together!! (Well, a little bit might have been because of the girls, if I have to be honest!) But I have to say, I think we did a pretty good job today! The girls were happy, we all had sticky fingers, and I was exhausted!!

The girls weren't putting anything together here but they were doing an important job--they were tasting the different colored jelly beans to make sure they were putting the right ones on the mini baskets!!! I had bought some of those "gourmet" jelly beans and the girls enjoyed looking at the package and trying to find the jelly beans to match the colors and tasting them. They didn't really like the Coffee flavor and they said one of the red ones was really hot!! I'm not sure if more jelly beans went on the baskets or in them!

Now here they were actually putting the baskets together. Some had multiple colors of jelly beans and some were color specific (that was Emma's doing). I think, after looking at this picture again, that Ella was probably still in the tasting mode! She did that alot!!

Anyway, we hope you all have a great Easter, and we're going to miss you guys from the North Country!!! BUT, five more days until we see you!!! Can't wait!

Love, Mom

Bunker Hill

Lexie and me at the bottom of the hill
(We both work at the clinic)

This is at the top of the hill with our group of people.

To the left of us was another group of sledders! :)

The view from the bottom of the hill!

A view from the top :)

A view from the top with somebody at the bottom!!

Our means of getting back up the hill. Yes, we are lazy!

The other weekend some co-workers and their families and I all met up at this hill for sledding. I had only been to Bunker Hill once with some of the boys when we went four-wheeling so I was in for a treat when I saw the HUGE hill covered with snow. The hill is steep at the beginning and then it kind of dulls down, but this was the most fun I had had in a long time! We had a fire going at the top of the hill to roast hot dogs and marshmellows and we all were drinking a few beers and it was just so much fun! And the best part, a couple of our friends had snowmobiles so you hardly ever had to make the trip up the hill by foot!! I highly recommend everybody to come up sometime while we have snow so you can get the Bunker Hill experience which I loved!!

Love you!

Bemidji Outting

Just thought I'd post these pictures of three bald eagles Kim and I saw on our way to Bemidji the other day. There were two of them in trees on the opposite side of the road and then one was down on the ground on our side of the road. I made Kim pull over so I could get out and try to get a good picture of the one down on the ground, I will not lie though, I was very nervous about the bird coming after me! However, it did the opposite and flew away, so Kim backed up and we tried to get a couple good pictures of them in the trees!

Love ya!
