Stripes

This past Thursday Mom, Karen and the little girls drove over to my house on a mission. We were going to paint stripes in the baby's room. None of us had attempted this before and we were all worried that it would end up a disaster. It was a difficult process but luckily we had the help of Ben to measure out the stripes while Karen taped them. The next morning we finished up painting then went shopping while it dried. After we had all spent some money we came back terrified to pull the tape off the wall but we ended up surprised at how well they turned out. Don't get me wrong there are some tiny imperfections but to the naked eye it looks awesome!!! Ben and I are so pleased at the colors and how great the stripes look!! We can't thank Mom and Karen enough for taking on the challenge!!!

P.S. I am not posting this to be showy or anything like that, Kim and Kendall really wanted to see what it looked like so I told them I would post some pictures!!!!

Speed Bump

Jacob and I were cruising over to Grandma and Grandpa Anderson's on Saturday evening when we turned a corner and just about hit this huge snapping turtle. I stopped in time and then pulled up next to it in order to take some pictures. It was the ugliest thing but Jacob and I couldn't quit staring at it!

NICE GIFT!!!!!

First off, I have to say that we are all sorry that we haven't posted for quite a while. I've had several people mention the lack of posts to me, and I must say that I've got several pictures I've wanted to share, I just haven't had the time to sit and do it. I'm hoping that I can get caught up in the next week or so, and I know that Kim is wanting to catch up, too. (She's also wanting to find a way back to Minnesota after being in Illinois for a couple weeks, but that's another story!!! The floods in Iowa and Wisconsin are keeping her and Jacob here, not that any of us minds that!!)

Kendall and Kim gave me this wonderful frame and pictures for my birthday and Mother's Day. It has pictures of the girls growing up and also pictures of the grandkids included. I have to tell you though, Kendall, that a couple of your brothers-in-law were not happy that they were not included. They are wondering if you're trying to tell them that they're not really part of the "family"!!!!! Mom
