Look at this sweet, innocent face!!! (Well, maybe not!) Could he really have written all those things about not wanting to attend the Rankin Girls' family get-togethers? I highly doubt it!!!! Surely not!!! (Does he look a little confused?)
At supper Saturday night, someone asked me if I would sew some curtains or valances for one of you girls, but I don't remember whether it was Kendall or Kori. It really doesn't matter which but you will have to measure the width of the window, tell me how many you need and give me some direction as to fabric and color. If you want to go to a fabric store, pick out what you want, get the name/number from the store manager or a small piece, mail it to me along with the name of the store. You could also take a digital picture of the fabric and put it on the blog.Be sure you let me know where you found it. Love you lots, Grandma
I don't think it was me being that I am twelve hours away in the NorthPole and have not sat down to dinner with you in a while. BUT I do have a question, that plant you sent me, I have it in a window where it is not getting direct light and it looks perky and happy, but the ends are kind of wilted...is it dying? His name is Fernando.
Stick your finger into the soil and if it feels dry, give him a drink of water. It might be that your room air is a little dry,if that's the case you might need to try getting more moisture into it. Do you have warm air ducts at the floor or at the ceiling? If they are at floor level, put a cake pan full of water in front of a duct so the water can evaporate and fill it when it's dry. It may be that he's suffering from adjustment to the Far North and from my house to yours.Keep his soil moist and if you get a little moisture in the air, give him time to adjust. I had used the JOBS(sp)spikes so he may need another couple in his soil, too.You can get them at Walmart and they don't cost much. Love you lots!!!!
I love that you girls name your plants too! Mine are all named after people I got them from. I have a Philodendron (Mary) that is a cutting from my great grandmothers, it has traveled with me in my many moves and always bounces back.
And Kori and Ben that is about the most non-innocent face I've ever seen! I think you're caught!! Alissa
I dont know what you are talking about GB but nobody is going to stick their finger into my soil to see if I need a drink of watter I dont care how dry the air is!
